2 – You get your own bedroom.

2 – You have your own bedroom, which is cool until there is a monster in the closet and you are left to fight it off all alone.

3 – Whatever love and affection your parents have to give, you get it all.

3 – Whatever criticisms and high expectations your parents have to give, you get them all.

4 – You know how to share, but don’t have to.

4 – There is no one to share with. If your friends can’t come out to play, you’re on your own.

5 – Your parents pour all their resources in to you because you are their one shot at having a successful child.

5 – You are your parent’s one shot at having a successful child. No pressure.

6 – You learn quickly how to take responsibility for your actions because there is no one to pass the blame to. This serves you well later in life.
